Just Five Lessons a Week is Recommended
A Harvard University study has shown that just 60-minutes of DreamBox lessons per week can fast-track your students up to two grade levels in a year.
We recommend that students complete five or more lessons per week with DreamBox Learning. Why? Because students who complete five lessons each week show more learning growth than peers who complete fewer lessons. To help your student reach their weekly lesson goals, we recommend setting up multiple sessions of DreamBox throughout the week and having students complete at least one or two lessons every time they log in. And remember—mistakes are OK! Your student shouldn’t shy away from incorrect answers, because those wrong answers actually help DreamBox find the best lesson for each student to reinforce concepts they’re struggling with and build on their strengths.
Set goals with your student to help them gain self-discipline, self-awareness, and self-esteem. Students can monitor their own progress, putting them in the driver’s seat of their goals, and you can know exactly where they are so you can cheer them on.
Learning math with DreamBox is fun, but it can still be hard. Productive struggle is all part of the program, and parents should let students work through their struggles, helping them see that they can do hard things.
