DreamBox earns spot on STEMworks list of high-quality STEM education programs

BELLEVUE, Washington —Feb. 26, 2019—DreamBox Learning®, which pioneered Intelligent Adaptive Learning™ technology used in schools across the U.S., Mexico and Canada, today announced it has been accepted as one of STEMworks’ distinguished and effective science, technology, education and math (STEM) programs.

STEMworks evaluates and catalogues STEM education programs to help companies, states and individuals make smart education investments that improve learning for children, youth and adults.

DreamBox was named an “accomplished” program, which is the highest rating given by STEMworks. The K-8 math program also received high marks for its “challenging and relevant content,” “sustainability,” and the platform’s ability to “identify and address the needs of under-represented groups.”

“We’re excited to receive this recognition and to join STEMworks in its mission to provide high-quality and equitable learning experiences for students regardless of where they live, what prior knowledge they have, or what language they speak,” said Tim Hudson, Chief Learning Officer at DreamBox. “STEMworks’ rigorous evaluation empowers district decisionmakers with the information necessary to bring innovative programs to their classrooms, and DreamBox is proud to make their list of accomplished programs.”

DreamBox is the only K-8 digital math program powered by students, built by and for educators, and independently proven to positively impact student achievement. The platform adjusts to meet students’ unique learning needs by recommending the right lessons and scaffolding at the right time. Independent studies conducted by both the Center for Education Policy Research (CEPR) at Harvard University and SRI have found that DreamBox substantially improves student math learning.

“When evaluating programs, STEMworks looks at programs’ ability to offer comprehensive STEM content, accommodate diverse learners’ needs and scale for long-term growth – DreamBox is accomplished in each of these areas,” said Dr. Mark Loveland, Project Director for STEMworks. “DreamBox can be very proud of joining the STEMworks honor roll. The level of effort involved in completing an application that clearly communicates both impact and inspiration is no small task.”

Today, over 3 million students and more than 130,000 educators are experiencing the real-time impact of DreamBox.
